Povljana is situated on the southern side of Island Pag in a green valley. It has been inhabited from times of the Roman Empire. This is the place where Dalmatian region meets the Kvarner Islands in a full beauty of the clear Croatian sea.
Povljana is ideal for family vacations because of its pure sea, beautiful walks and bicycle tracks and most of all because of the attractive sand beach where children can play.

Povljana has playgrounds for football, bowls, sand volleyball and tennis courts that can be used 24 hours a day, seven days a week, situated on the beach ...
In a close proximity of Povljana there is a fresh water lake named “Veliko blato” where passionate fishermen can try their skills. Also, there is an ornithological reserve at the lake, with an observation post where you can enjoy bird watching.
On the Povljana's market place you can get fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, olive oil, famous home-made Pag cheese, lamb, grapes and the well known native wine "Gegić".

The sand beach is nice and clean, with lots of shade from the pine trees. The wood follows the coast line from the beach for approx. 5 kilometers and offers a beautiful ambient for taking a walk or bicycle ride. There are a few smaller, remote beaches on that stretch. Our beach carries a "BLUE FLAG" that has been awarded because it suits strict international standards for the cleanest and the most ecologically sustainable beaches. The „BLUE FLAG“ guaranties ecologically clean sea controlled on a daily basis. At some 50 meters away at the sea shore there is some curing mud that helps easing rheumatic problems.
